Catherine Bucaria is Director of Audio Strategy and Acquisitions and has worked with Penguin Random House Audio since 2011. She oversees acquisitions from both the company’s adult publishing divisions and other publishing houses, and she is the lead editor for Penguin Random House Audio’s best-selling licensed audio products, including Star Wars, World of Warcraft, Critical Role, and the New York Times best-selling MeatEater Audiobook Original series. Working with finance, contracts, and editorial teams across Penguin Random House Audio’s 50 adult publishing groups and the Audio team, Catherine manages project expectations and opportunities for enhanced audio productions.

Catherine is a mentor with two Penguin Random House Audio affiliated programs—Read Ahead and Governor’s Committee on Scholastic Achievement—and she volunteers with Crossroads Community Services to help food-insecure New Yorkers. She is an avid college basketball fan, beachgoer, and reader/listener of all genres (though true-crime, psychological suspense, and travelogues generally move to the top of her list!).
