5 Audiobooks for Your Spring Cleaning Frenzy

Put on those cutoff shorts and that old band tee, it’s cleaning season, babies! A time to throw back the drapes like an unhinged Disney princess, hoist up the window panes, let out a yodel, and let in the fresh air….along with a season’s worth of dust, dirt, and desication. Okay yes, my windows are dirty. If you’re also gazing at the scatter plot of your besmudged panes, know that you are 1) in good company 2) can de-grubbify and read at the same time. For me the audiobook that has me breaking out the suds bucket is London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe. I’ve been a fan of Radden Keefe since Say Nothing, and know I can count on his nuanced blend of true crime-meets-social history to make my brain tick and my heart hurt (“brain tick/heart hurt” being the Patrick Radden Keefe special).

Rumor has it that mystery, romance, and genre busting sci-fi (what, you thought I wasn’t going to mention Operation Bounce House?) also make for motivating cleaning companions. So here ya go—five elbow grease-approved picks to distract your mind while your body gets down to scrubbin’.
