Queer & Trans Literary Fiction Picks

Erin Murphy By Erin Murphy

Pride Month is here and we’ve got the audiobooks that will keep your playlist good and gay all June long (and beyond. Like, way beyond).

To kick off our celebrations, we’re zooming in on literary fiction by and about queer and trans people, all as vast, varied, and expansive as queerness itself. There’s Necessary Fiction which explores cross-generational queer life in Nigeria, Girls Girls Girls and I Make Envy on Your Disco transport us to the underground worlds of 1990’s San Francisco and early aughts Berlin respectively, Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One follows the life of a career clown trying to stay dedicated to her art, and Disappoint Me finds us with Max, who is swept along on a rollercoaster of  love, trans panic, and millennial angst.

No matter what you choose to listen to, listen with Pride.
