Staff Picks: Wonderful Woman Narrators

Erin Murphy By Erin Murphy

In celebration of International Women’s Day (and Women’s History Month) we asked our fellow PRH Audio staffers to share one of their favorite narrating women with us, and they delivered.

Join us in raising a mug of warm throat coat tea to some of the most fabulous, talented women to ever grace a recording booth!

Ana Osorio

Ana Osorio’s rich voice adds magic to every story she brings to life with her performances. Whether it’s her captivating dual narration in the swashbuckling adventure, Sinner’s Isle, or her important work as the member of a full cast in both English and Spanish editions of The Interpreter, she makes every audiobook a memorable listening experience.–Alex Hernandez, Publicist

Nikki Massoud

I’d love to shout out Nikki Massoud! She approaches every performance with thoughtfulness and grace, and she is a wonderful storyteller. —Olivia Langen, Associate Producer

Adjoa Andoh

I love Adjoa Andoh’s voice so much, I could listen to it all day (and do!) Her soothing voice guides me through everything from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s powerful Americanah to the nostalgic Winnie the Pooh stories of Tales From The Forest by Jane Riordan and A. A. Milne. You may know and love her from Bridgerton, but you should get to know her as one of the best female narrator voices in the audiobook world!–Dakota Cohen, Marketing Manager

Adjoa Andoh is an absolute powerhouse as an audiobook narrator. Her narration of The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Daré is a perfect example—she captures the protagonist’s resilience and spirit so beautifully. In Matrix by Lauren Groff, she masterfully conveys the novel’s sweeping historical scope and introspective power. She also brings such raw emotion and nuance to Stay with Me by Ayòbámi Adébáyò and Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, fully immersing listeners in the characters’ lives.

What I love most about her narration is her ability to make every character distinct, her command of accents and tone, and the way she infuses so much emotion into every line. Whether she’s narrating historical fiction, contemporary stories, or deeply personal journeys, she has a way of making the listener feel every word.–Alexis Patterson, Associate Director, Marketing

Alex Finke

I’m a big fan of Alex Finke, narrator of Ready or Not by Cara Bastone. I found her performance to be heartfelt and hilarious, and her narration completely engrossed me into the story. She’s the reason Promise Me Sunshine (also by Cara Bastone) is one of my most anticipated romcom audiobooks of the year!–Marissa Secreto, Associate Manager, Marketing

Cassandra Campbell

Cassandra Campbell is fantastic. Needing a cozy mystery escape, I listened to Shady Hollow recently and was totally transported to the animal-inhabited village. Cassandra Campbell’s plethora of voices for everyone—from savvy fox reporter Vera to grumpy police bear Deputy Orville –  really conjured up perfect pictures of each character and made me excited to visit the characters again with the rest of the series!–Tara Djangi, Marketing Director
