The Gilmore Girls Audiobook Listening List
Over the course of seven seasons, there are an estimated 400 books read, pictured, and referenced conversationally in Gilmore Girls. That is quite the TBR, even for a bookworm of the highest caliber like Rory Gilmore. We’re sharing some select picks from that hulking list, some of which are front and center in the series, and others that require a bit more of an eagle eye (or ear. Those girls talk fast).
Books touch every corner of the Stars Hollow-verse: there’s Madame Bovary, which is the first book we see Rory read on screen, Kitchen Confidential, which is seen hanging out on the back of Lorelai and Rory’s couch, and High Fidelity, which Jess Mariano references when discussing a particularly in-the-know record store owner, just to name a few.
