In 2023, the American Library Association announced that the number of books challenged in libraries in the United States reached an all-time high. During Banned Books Week (September 22nd to September 28th), we’re joining the rest of the literary community to celebrate freedom of speech and to stand up for the right to hear powerful stories. The titles below are the audio editions of some of the most frequently banned books and some that have been challenged more recently.
